  • 1 cup or 140 grams of all-purpose flour.
  • 4 tablespoons or 40 grams of cocoa powder.
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder.
  • 160 grams of granulated sugar.
  • 1 cup water (Cold).
  • 65 ml sunflower oil.
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder or vanilla extract.

For Frosting

  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil.
  • 4 tablespoon of cocoa powder.
  • 1/4 cup or 35 ml of almond milk.
  • 1/4 cup or 35 grams of regular sugar.

Instructions

  • Grease a round or rectangular baking pan of 8 inches with sunflower oil.
  • Preheat your oven to 180 degrees celsius or 356 degrees Fahrenheit.

For Preparation Of Cake Batter and Baking

  • Take all-purpose flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder in a bowl, mix well, and keep aside.
  • In another bowl take granulated sugar, water and stir till the sugar is dissolved.
  • Then add sunflower oil and stir again till everything is completely mixed.
  • Now add vinegar and vanilla extract and stir well.
  • Add the dry mixture of all-purpose flour, baking powder, cocoa powder to the wet mixture and mix well. Make sure there are no lumps in the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and bake the cake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees celsius or 356 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes.
  • To check the cake if done use a toothpick. The toothpick should come out clean.
  • Take the cake from the oven and cool it on the rack before frosting.

Frosting For The Cake

  • Take a pan on low heat, add sunflower oil, almond milk, and sugar stir well till the sugar is completely dissolved, then add cocoa powder and stir again till the cocoa powder is completely dissolved.
